MOLDAVIAN LEGENDS

Once a lot of people left Moldavia for Turkey to complain of their sufferings. But when they arrived to the Turkish capital nobody wanted to listen to their complain. The Turks put them in jail where they remained for a long time.

When they let them out all of them became slaves.

Once one of them said: “ Brothers, let`s start for Moldavia and we`ll walk and walk till we get home!”

“It is not worth even talking about this. Moldavia is far away. It must be hundreds of miles away. We don`t know the way back. As soon as we ask somebody about our country we`ll be suspected, caught and killed.”

But the other man answered: “Let`s go away when theTurks are praying. They won`t get out when they pray. We`ll walk during the night and during the day, we`ll hide in desert!”

So they settled and went away. They hid during the day, and at night they hurried away guiding themselves looking at the Milky Way. They walked and walked until they returned to Moldavia.
